    Customizing Your Squarespace Sidebar

Today, we’ll be quickly going over how to customize your Squarespace sidebar, building out your website workflow to help your site’s creation process work as well as it can for you. Everyone’s process is going to be a little different, so take this guide for how to customize your sidebar, give it your own spin, and then you’re off to the races.

At the bottom of the sidebar when you’re in the back end of your website, you’ll see, between the ‘question mark’ and the ‘settings gear’, a button for ‘customize sidebar’. Click that, and it’ll give you some options that you can toggle on and off, such as products, services, or donations. You can also drag and drop the order of these things. If you toggle any of them off, the next time you pull up your site, they’ll not be found in the sidebar. This makes your working environment so much cleaner and clearer, reducing the clutter and extra noise from your Squarespace workspace.

The other thing I wanted to mention is under that ‘customize sidebar’ button, if you have a few features offered by your business but not all of them (you accept donations but don’t sell any products, for example), you can keep these toggled on and order them to your preference so the parts of your site you’re editing most frequently are right there at the top of the sidebar so you don’t have to go digging for it every time you want to change something about your Squarepsace site.

If you want some additional Squarespace tips and tricks, I have a video where I answer the ten most asked questions I’ve seen about setting up a Squarespace site; that Squarespace 101 video is right here, and I hope you enjoy and get some valuable insights from it!
