Country Music Website Design (Squarespace): Dustin Lynch

An artist's website shouldn't stay visually frozen while the music moves into a new era.

For country artist Dustin Lynch, a new album announcement created the perfect opportunity to refresh his existing Squarespace website, introducing the imagery, colors, and visual identity surrounding the new music while maintaining the functionality an established touring artist needs.

The result is a clean, modern country music website built around bold photography, a primarily black-and-white palette, and strategic pops of orange pulled directly from the new album campaign.

Rebranding a Website for a New Album Era

A new album often introduces an entirely new visual world for an artist.

There's new cover artwork, photography, typography, colors, merchandise, and promotional creative. The website is where all of those pieces have the opportunity to come together.

Rather than treating Dustin's website redesign as a completely separate branding project, the new album creative became the starting point. The simplified black-and-white palette allows the photography to take center stage, while orange accents connect the website directly to the visual identity of the upcoming release.

Even the smallest details can help reinforce that connection. Orange gradient buttons throughout the site are inspired by the colored vinyl, carrying an element from the physical album packaging into the digital experience.

The goal is for a fan to encounter the album on social media, see the vinyl in the online store, or land on the website and immediately recognize that they're all part of the same era.

A Clean, Image-Driven Homepage

With strong artist photography, sometimes the best design decision is knowing when to get out of the way.

The homepage uses large-scale imagery, minimal typography, and plenty of breathing room to create an experience that feels polished without becoming overly designed.

Subtle details—including oversized background typography and gradients that allow imagery to transition naturally into surrounding sections—add visual interest while maintaining the clean aesthetic.

The result keeps Dustin himself at the center of the website rather than allowing design elements to compete for attention.

Creating Space for What's New—and What's Next

One interesting part of this website refresh is that Dustin has more than one release to promote.

A collection celebrating his #1 songs leads into the announcement of an entirely new album, creating a transitional moment between celebrating an established catalog and introducing what's coming next.

The website needed to accommodate both.

A flexible music section allows current releases to receive priority while still giving visitors easy access to recent singles and previous projects. As the new album campaign progresses, the hierarchy of that content can evolve without requiring another complete website redesign.

That's especially important for an established artist: the website isn't designed around one static moment. It's designed to keep changing as the campaign does.

Tour Dates & Tickets

For a touring country artist, the website has two especially important audiences: people who want to hear the music and people who want to see it live. Dustin's upcoming tour dates are given prominent placement on the homepage, with the date, venue, location, and ticket options presented in a straightforward, easy-to-scan format.

Here, functionality takes priority over decoration.

A fan looking to see whether Dustin is playing nearby shouldn't have to search through multiple pages or elaborate graphics to find an answer. The streamlined tour section makes the path from website visitor to ticket buyer as simple as possible.

Fan Club Membership

The website also serves Dustin's existing fan community through the Stay Country Club.

Membership options are incorporated directly into the homepage, giving fans an opportunity to move beyond simply following an artist on social media and become part of a community with access to exclusive content and experiences.

Including this alongside music and touring turns the website into more than an artist portfolio. It becomes part of the larger fan ecosystem, supporting discovery, engagement, and deeper connection in one place.

Designing for an Established Artist

Redesigning the website of an established artist comes with a different set of considerations than creating a first musician website.

The goal isn't to reinvent everything.

Existing functionality needs to keep working. Fans need to know where to find the information they're accustomed to accessing. Tour dates, music, merchandise, video, social platforms, and fan membership all still have jobs to do.

The design refresh happens around that established ecosystem.

For Dustin Lynch, that meant creating a new visual identity for the website while preserving the infrastructure supporting an active recording and touring career.

Mobile Website Design

For music artists, mobile design is especially important.

Fans are often arriving directly from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, streaming platforms, email announcements, or digital ads. The website experience needs to feel intentional whether someone visits from a desktop computer or taps a link from their phone.

Dustin's website is designed responsively so new music, tour dates, ticket links, fan membership, and other calls to action remain easy to access across screen sizes without losing the strong imagery and clean aesthetic that define the desktop experience.

Built on Squarespace

As a Squarespace Authorized Trainer, Squarespace Expert, and Squarespace Circle Member, I've worked extensively with Squarespace websites for musicians and entertainment brands.

For an artist like Dustin Lynch, one of the platform's biggest advantages is flexibility.

The website can evolve alongside album cycles, tours, releases, and campaigns while the underlying structure remains familiar and manageable. Instead of rebuilding an artist's website every time the visual identity changes, Squarespace provides a foundation that can be continually refreshed as the career evolves.
