What Designing the Row clients are saying...

"Katherine has a natural gift and passion for all things related to web and graphic design, so she allows an otherwise stressful process to become a joy! She has a great eye for cleanliness and simplicity, and has a keen sense of how to make the most out of any given webpage to make the experience easy and readily accessible for the user."

- Sarah Jarosz

"Katherine has been an expert at helping our band with our online presence! Her artistic skills help the group have a professional image with a current modern touch. She also is great at helping monitor traffic to better target your audience!!"

- Woody Platt
Steep Canyon Rangers

“Katherine was such a joy to work with. Creative, quick to respond and open to my ideas. I’m really thrilled with my site.

- Sierra Hull

“I’m super happy with [the website]. It’s everything it needs to be.”

- Nathaniel Smith

“Katherine isn't just a designer. She has a lot of business experience and strategy up her sleeve! Before she got ahold of my website, my homepage didn't have a purpose and wasn't converting my visitors into leads. She structured my website in a way that gave my audience no-brainer opportunities to join my email list, visit my sales page, AND BOOK WITH ME!

I've received a million compliments on how gorgeous my website looks. The high end experience that they receive has given me even more confidence to up my prices and my profits. Beyond all of that, working with Katherine was seamless. She over delivered (of course because that's who she is, an over-achiever). She sent me graphics that I didn't even know that I needed but use almost daily now!

I was stressed almost to tears creating my sales page. I was working on it for days and made ZERO progress. After I the most brilliant idea to date, to hand everything over to her, felt like Christmas morning when I was 10. Thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart, Katherine, for everything you've done for me and my business!”

Designing the Row hey

I'm Katherine...
the girl on the other side of the screen.

I'm a Music City girl obsessed with creating confidence in my clients through designing, branding, marketing, and community. In today’s world, your visual branding and online presence will either make or break you. I’ve got my Diet Coke in hand and am ready to get started on your next project.

Why Squarespace?

There are so many benefits to using Squarespace, and that’s why I exclusively design Squarespace websites. Not only does the platform provide professional, easy to navigate, and mobile-friendly templates but Squarespace also includes SSL security, various e-commerce options, and blogs with unlimited bandwidth and storage. Another plus? Once the site is launched you can update and maintain content without having any coding knowledge!

What’s the difference between my hosting & domain name? Do I need both?

The analogy I always use is this: imagine hosting as your land/property and the domain name as your house. Both serve different purposes but yes, you must have both to have a functioning website!

I have a GoDaddy, Network Solutions, etc. account already.

Great! Squarespace also functions as a hosting service. So, what we will do is replace your hosting plan with Squarespace and “point” your domain to Squarespace (aka stop paying for your current hosting and leave your domain name where it is and I’ll take care of connecting it to your new website for you).

I want to sell products/services through my new website, what do I need to know?

Squarespace connects with Stripe and PayPal to accept online payments. I highly recommend Stripe because it allows your customers to experience a branded and seamless checkout experience. PayPal on the other hand forces customers to have or create a PayPal account in order to complete purchases. When you use Squarespace’s e-commerce function all orders are easily accessible through the backend of the website. From there you can find order details, refund customers, mark orders as fulfilled, and add tracking numbers.

What’s your process and turnaround time?

I’ll work as fast as you do! Meaning, I can’t create a website without your vision and content. Once your contract is signed and your deposit is made, I will invite you to a shared Google Drive folder and we will start your sitemap. A sitemap is a list of the pages you want in your navigation and on your site. Once you are clear on your sitemap, it’s time to get your content ready. That means adding your logo, images, bio, links, product descriptions and pricing, etc. to the Drive folder.

How much will this cost?

I understand that everyone has different needs when it comes to websites! For that reason I have a build-your-own package pricing format. In the Pricing Guide you can select the options that work best for your budget and project! A deposit of half the final cost is due with the signed contract. If for any reason you are unhappy and decide not to launch your site with Designing the Row, your deposit will be refunded 100%.

Designing the Row is not responsible for your Squarespace or domain fees. Those fees will be your commitment and are best to stay in your name and full control.
